Green living is no longer a movement for the few enlightened ones.It is a real trend all across America and all over the world.

People are beginning to realize that “going green” in every aspect of their lives is more than a commitment to preserve resources, and help the planet.

By making the switch to greener, more sustainable alternatives in products, services and technologies, your are not just saving the environment, you are also saving money. In many cases, a whole lot of money.

Of all the green living trends, the push towards green building and remodeling technologies and products is probably the most significant in terms of its impact in the planet’s future.

As we uncover and experiment new possibilities, we begin to actually envision a better future for mankind: a pain free way out of these wasteful lives we’ve been living and grown to be so fond of.

Rather than urban sprawl, sustainable villages and community developments with sensibly built homes building around employment and shopping hubs, people can reach with a short walk or bike ride.

The end homelessness as houses are made affordable for everyone, because they are built energy efficient, self sustaining and with long lasting green materials and technologies.

Those are no longer dreams. There are technologies already available and being currently applied to make such things possible.

The ever evolving building science is increasingly leaning towards sustainable developments. Many towns in the U.S are already adopting green zoning codes and LEED standards in their code policies.

It is up to us, consumers, architects, engineers and builders to push to make them a standard in our communities..

This blog will consistently discuss and bring information on the subject. of green and sustainable living, and green home improvement, among other home improvement related subjects because I believe that our homes are also our future and our legacy. We need to make them better and we've barely scraped the surface of the whole potential that green technologies offer to help us accomplish that.

A brighter future is on its way, if we only keep working on it.
